1. Overview

NoSprite ("we", "us", "our") operates the website nosprite.com and publishes games on Google Play, the Apple App Store, and itch.io. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our site and play our games on any platform.

2. Mobile Apps (Google Play and Apple App Store)

Our games available on Google Play and the Apple App Store do not collect, store, or share any personal data with us. All game data, including scores, settings, and unlocks, is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us or any third party.

Our mobile games contain:

No ads. No advertising of any kind
No analytics. No usage tracking or data collection
No account system. No sign-ups, logins, or personal data input
No third-party SDKs. No social media, tracking, or advertising libraries

The only in-app purchases are optional tip jar donations, processed entirely through Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple StoreKit (iOS). We do not receive or store any payment information. 3. Website (nosprite.com)

We do not collect any personal information directly on our website unless you voluntarily provide it (such as via the email subscription form, see Section 4). Our web games run entirely in your browser. No accounts, no sign-ups, no personal data input is required or stored.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, provides privacy-first, cookieless analytics derived from standard server request data, including:

Pages visited and aggregate page-view counts
Browser type and device type
Approximate geographic location (country level)
Referring website or search engine

This analytics is aggregated and cookieless: it sets no cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build advertising or behavioral profiles. We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising or tracking SDKs on the website.

4. Email Subscriptions

We offer an optional email signup form on nosprite.com to notify subscribers when new games launch. Submitting your email is entirely voluntary.

When you submit the signup form, the only information we collect is your email address. We do not collect your IP address, browser user-agent, or any other personal data through the form.

After signing up, you receive a welcome email confirming your subscription. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email we send.

Your email address is stored and managed by sendau, our self-hosted email platform running on Cloudflare's network, which records standard subscription details such as the signup timestamp. Emails are delivered through Amazon SES, which sendau uses as its sending provider. We do not sell, share, or rent email addresses with any third party.

Like most email senders, we measure engagement with the emails we send: each email includes a small invisible image ("open pixel") that tells us whether it was opened, and links are routed through a tracking redirect so we can see which links were clicked. This lets us understand which announcements are useful. It is tied to your subscription record, uses no cookies, and is limited to emails we send you. If you prefer not to be measured this way, you can disable remote images in your email client or unsubscribe.

We send emails only for product launch announcements. No marketing newsletters, no promotional sequences, no third-party offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by emailing us (Section 12), and we will delete your record.

5. Cookies

Neither our mobile apps nor our website set any cookies. We do not use first-party tracking cookies, and our analytics is cookieless, so no third-party advertising or analytics cookies are set either.

The only data stored in your browser is a small local preference for your light/dark theme choice, which never leaves your device and is not used for tracking. The site and games work normally regardless of your browser's cookie settings.

6. Game Data

On mobile, all game data (scores, settings, unlocks) is stored locally on your device. On the web, all game data exists only in your browser's memory during gameplay. In both cases, we do not transmit, store, or have access to any game data on our servers.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our games do not require any personal information to play on any platform. The cookieless analytics data collected on the website does not identify individual users of any age. The email subscription form is intended for adults; if a child under 13 has signed up, please contact us to remove the address.

We do not use any advertising services, social media trackers, or other third-party scripts or SDKs.

9. Data Retention

Cloudflare's cookieless website analytics is retained according to Cloudflare's standard retention windows and contains no data that identifies you. Email subscriber records (your email address and basic subscription details such as the signup timestamp) are retained as long as the subscription is active; if you unsubscribe, the record is deleted. Our mobile apps do not transmit any data to retain.

You have the right to:

Request information about what data we hold about you
Unsubscribe from email notifications and have your email record deleted
Uninstall any mobile app to remove all locally stored game data

EU residents have additional rights under GDPR including data access, portability, rectification, and erasure. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the methods in Section 12.
